" The Owl and the Pussycat went to sea,
In a beautiful pea green boat"
-so begins the very famous nursery rhyme by Edward Lear.
This portly, happy, pair are one interpretation I have in my files, and they
are designed by Ann Franklin.
I leave you a few questions - 1) Who married them?.
2) Who provided the ring?
and 3) what happens to the children of the pair? - something I only learnt a
few days ago.
These characters are totally child safe, as all features are embroidered ( no
choking hazards) and they are stuffed(very gently) with British Kitemark Safety
Standard Polyester Filling.
The owl has button pupils, but can be replaced by embroidery if required for
a tiny child.
Would make wonderful Library Focal points or Teaching Aids.
I used things like this to stimulate imaginative work when I was teaching.

Measurements - about 8" tall
and - about 17" around. Very cuddly. Suitable for children from birth to 90+.
